MAJA Möbel EXPANDS MANAGEMENT

PETER VÖLKNER NEW COMMERCIAL MANAGING DIRECTOR

As of April 1, 2021, the MAJA Möbel companies will strengthen their management: In the future, Peter Völkner will assume the newly created position of commercial director in each of the two companies. His main office will be in Wittichenau, where MAJA Möbel operates one of the most modern production facilities for lightweight furniture. The 52-year-old will support the two managing directors Uwe Gottschlich and Gunnar Halbig at this location. MAJA Möbel Kasendorf produces high-quality take-away furniture for the media, office and living sectors.

"Mr. Völkner has gained many years of corporate experience, but is also at home in the SME sector. This, together with his other qualifications, makes him the ideal person for the new role."

Peter Völkner, who holds a degree in business administration, can look back on a broad spectrum of experience ranging from commercial responsibility in an international high-tech group to management in a medium-sized company. Most recently, Peter Völkner was Chairman of the Management Board at Plauen Stahl Technologie GmbH. In the new position of Commercial Director, he will further develop the commercial department in both companies and, together with the other members of the management team, drive forward the companies' growth plans.
