General Information

MAJA takes the protection of your personal data seriously. It is important for us that you know which personal data we collect during your visit to our website, how it is used and what options you have. This data protection notice answers the most important questions.

1. What data is collected and how is it used? For the provision of our services

Technical aspects:

When you visit our web pages, we temporarily collect the domain name or IP address of your computer, the client’s file request (file name and URL), the http response code and the web page you came from.

Logged data is used exclusively for the purposes of data security, in particular to defend against attacks on our web server, as well as for statistical evaluations. They are neither used to create individual user profiles nor passed on to third parties.

Cookies: For certain functionalities, we use cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer. They allow us to detect repeated visits to our web pages from the same computer.

Session Cookies are cookies that are only stored on your computer for the duration of an Internet session and which are required for transactions. They contain only one transaction ID.

For certain functionalities, we use persistent cookies, which are used to recognize visitors and are stored on your computer for future sessions. These cookies are valid for 6 to 24 months.

We use YouTube to embed videos. Like most websites, however, YouTube also uses cookies to collect information about visitors to its website. YouTube uses these, among other things, to collect video statistics, to avoid fraud and to improve user-friendliness. This also leads to a connection to the Google network. If you start the video, this could trigger further data processing operations. We have no influence on that. When using our MAJA Facebook page, data is collected by Facebook. We do not have more precise information about the data collected and how it is processed. To the best of our knowledge, your Facebook ID is one of the transmitted data. The processing is done by Facebook. On the basis of this data, Facebook provides us with statistical evaluations that do not contain any references to identifiable natural persons. You can assert your rights under this data protection declaration with Facebook Ireland and with us at the address given in this data protection declaration.

So-called social plugins (“plugins”) from the social network Instagram are integrated on our website. These functions are offered by Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA. If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can link the content of our pages to your Instagram profile by clicking the Instagram button. This allows Instagram to associate your visit to our website with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or of their use by Instagram. We have taken extensive technical and organisational security measures in accordance with German law in order to protect your data from unauthorised access and misuse.

4. Will my data be passed on to third parties, e.g. to authorities?

In certain cases, we are legally obliged to transfer data to a requesting government agency.

External fonts – Google Fonts – are used on our website. Google Fonts is a service of Google Inc. “(“Google”). The integration of these Web Fonts takes place by a server call, usually one of Google’s servers in the USA. This will tell the server which of our Internet pages you have visited. 5. Is my usage behaviour evaluated, e.g. for advertising?

We create user profiles under a pseudonym within the framework of legal regulations. We may evaluate these for market research purposes. Any direct conclusions about you are not possible. The profile data is not linked to any further information about your person. In what follows, we inform you about the procedures used on our websites and how you can object at any time.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files stored on your computer, which allow for an analysis of your use of the website. IP anonymisation

We have activated the IP anonymisation function on this website.
